What Carpet Can You See at Carpetime's Showroom?

Here’s what you’ll find in the carpet section at Carpetime, which brands we carry, and how we’ll help you narrow it down.

The carpet brands we carry

Our carpet section has samples from Anderson Tuftex, DreamWeaver, DH Floors, Godfrey Hirst, Gulistan, Marquis Industries, Mohawk, Revolution Mills and Shaw Floors.

Why these brands? Shaw, Mohawk and Engineered Floors (the company behind DreamWeaver) are the three biggest carpet mills in the industry, so carrying all three puts the widest range of styles, colors and price points in one showroom. Marquis Industries is here for a different reason: its solution-dyed polyester carpets have been a staple of our inventory. Solution-dyed means the color runs all the way through the fiber instead of sitting on the surface, so it holds up well against fading and stains.

How the showroom is laid out

Our carpet is split between two rooms. The front showroom is mostly polyester and SmartStrand, Mohawk’s triexta fiber. The back showroom has a mix of nylon and polyester carpets. If you already know which fiber you want, that tells you where to start. If you don’t, a salesperson can walk you through the differences.

Can you take samples home? Yes. Most of our carpet samples are on wing cards, and you’re welcome to take them home to see the color in your own lighting. We can also order samples from the mill and have them sent to your house, and we have swatches from the carpet we have in stock.

Do you have carpet in stock?

Yes. We keep a selection of carpet on rolls in our warehouse, and that’s often where we start. If nothing in stock is the right fit, we’ll move on to the showroom, where carpet is ordered from the mill once you’ve picked a style and color. You can see what we have on our In-Stock Carpet page.

The big advantage of in-stock carpet is timing. A special order has to ship from the mill first, but in-stock carpet is already here, so we can install it as soon as you need it, depending on installer availability.

How we’ll help you choose

With this many options, you don’t have to sort through them alone. A salesperson will ask a few questions to narrow things down:

  • Which rooms are you carpeting?

  • Do you have pets or kids?

  • How much foot traffic do the rooms get?

  • What’s your rough budget?

From there, we’ll pull a handful of samples that fit.
