What Tile Can You See at Carpetime’s Showroom?

Here’s what you’ll find in the tile section at Carpetime, which brands we carry, and what to know before you buy. Our tile showroom is being remodeled, so watch for an update once the new space is finished.

The tile brands we carry

Our tile section has ceramic, porcelain and natural stone from Daltile, Marazzi, Arizona Tile, Glazzio Tiles, American Olean, Bedrosians, Petra Slate, Island Stone and MSI.

Grand Junction’s Daltile & Marazzi Statements Dealer

Carpetime is a Daltile and Marazzi Statements Dealer, part of a select group of showrooms nationwide chosen to represent both brands. That means the newest Daltile and Marazzi collections, curated displays, and expert help, right here in Grand Junction.

We sell tile, but we don’t install it

You can see our tile selection in the showroom and buy it by the square foot. We don’t offer tile installation. We can help you estimate how much tile you need, either from your plans or from a site measure. For prices, see How Much Does Ceramic and Porcelain Tile Cost in Grand Junction?

Ceramic, porcelain or stone?

Porcelain is denser and absorbs less water, so it’s usually the better choice for heavy traffic, bathrooms and entries. Ceramic is often less expensive and works well on walls and in lighter-traffic rooms. Natural stone, like slate, offers one-of-a-kind color and texture, with no two pieces exactly alike.

Can you take samples home?

Yes. You’re welcome to take samples home, so you can see how the tile looks in your own lighting and next to your cabinets, counters and walls. If we don’t have a sample we can send home with you, we can order one.

Do you keep tile in stock?

We don’t keep tile in stock ourselves, but the local Daltile location does, so a handful of Daltile 12" x 24" tiles and mosaics are available quickly. You can see what’s on hand on our in-stock tile page.

Special-order tile can’t be canceled or returned once it’s ordered. Material-only orders are picked up at our warehouse; we don’t deliver.

How much tile to buy

Order extra for cuts and breakage. How much depends on the size of the tile:

  • Smaller tiles, like subway tile: about 5% extra

  • Larger formats, like 12" x 24" or 24" x 24": about 10% extra

  • Very large tiles, like 24" x 48": we count the exact tiles needed for your layout instead of adding a percentage

Diagonal or herringbone patterns need more. A few extra tiles also leave spares for future repairs, since the same color batch can be hard to find later.
